Anderson School District Two’s 1:1 initiative will allow students to inquire and explore the world around them. With a wealth of information at their fingertips, students will be able use transformative technologies to think critically about that information and collaborate with others to creatively express their views and knowledge through authentic problem- and project-based activities. These activities will enhance students’ creativity, critical thinking, communication, and problem solving and will ignite a joy of learning in our students, inspiring them to become twenty-first-century learners. Through these personalized, authentic, and collaborative experiences, our students will develop the skills necessary to prepare them for a successful future in a world that is constantly changing.
1:1 Computing Goals
Anderson School District Two understands that technology is a critical tool in the pursuit of our students’ education. Our district uses a variety of technology to provide depth and breadth to your child’s education and to engage him/her in the world. The purpose of this handbook is to provide ready access to policies and resources that will help guide you and your child in his/her education. We are incredibly excited about this initiative and hope that you are as well! We at Anderson School District Two need for you to be a partner in your child’s education and safety. When the District resources are paired with engaged parents and students who are ready to learn, there is no limit to what we can accomplish!
Anderson School District Two encourages students to use a variety of technologies to enhance their learning. To ensure the privacy and safety of our students and to protect data and our resources, we ask parents and students to become familiar with policy and regulations that have been established for technology use in the district. Anderson Two’s aim is to maintain an environment that promotes ethical and responsible conduct in all electronic resource activities. With this privilege and opportunity to explore resources come responsibilities for the parent and for the student.
